Today one section of the Quarry still operates and the area of Corbet Wood has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

While situated in a rural area, Clive is not far from the larger towns of Shrewsbury and Whitchurch which are only a few miles drive away, and there are rail links directly from Wem Station to Crewe to the north, and Shrewsbury, Birmingham and London to the south.
